TG SLVR Power cord; substitute or something better

i've been using some tg slvr powercords for quite sometime and been very pleased.

its now hard to find them since Bob Crump passed away.

Can someone here recommend a good all around powercord in the $500 price range ? hopefully something as good or better than the tg slvr ?

thanks for input guys
nolitan

how long have you had your slvr ?
I sold my last one over two years ago.

Fortunately i dont experience that unrefineness in the upper mids.
That's a good thing, and based on your comment I'd suggest that perhaps my comments don't carry much weight since my listening experience in my system differs from yours. System synergy or resolution is everything when it comes to evaluating wire.

Its true, system synergy is important.
Anyhow, i'm looking at your recommendations since i would need one for my Modwright 9.0SWL pre-amp.
Thanks again for inputs.
By far, the best power cord I tried on the Modwright SWL9.0SE was a Purist Audio Dominus Ferrox, but it's out of your price range. It added weight and body. The second best cord was a Ridge Street Poiema!!!

I don't think the Electraglide would work particularly well.

Perhaps a Shunyata Python Vx, even though they are generally intended for digital gear. IMO, the Modwright needs help to "fill out" it's sound...especially the midrange.

There are quite a few SWL9.0SE owners on Audiogon. You might contact them individually by email and ask what they use.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the TG Silver's are still being made, just not by BOb. If I'm wrong about that I apologize, but I recall seeing it on the TG Audio website.

I would recommend the VH Audio Flavor 4 as previously mentioned. You might also want to try the CRL Silver. They are being offered on Audiogon right now at amazing prices. I have two in my system and they have worked out quite well.
Playing this power cord with many, many trials. I ended up with BMI Cable Hammerhead Silvers to finish out my plus six figure $$ two channel reference audio system.

The only thing is that the Hammerhead silvers are very addictive. Once you hear how much one cable makes an improvement you end up buying another one and another..
I have three in my system now and currrently ordered three more to finish it out.
