I had tried that to some benefit. (though not in a three step way like yours..
Generally the issue becomes the power cleaning thins out the sound way too much.
I find using good power cords with a single high quality power conditioner does just what i want.
Not to say it is wrong or anything. It works for the op. Somee systems/electrical power are different than others..
