If you can stretch above hero, that's a good recommendation, the Select 1011 with wbt 0108 is outstanding. Warm, fullbodied, smooth but plenty detailed. The best attribute is the pitch definition in the bass region, just outstanding.

i have auditioned kimber select, i have owned kimber pbj and auditioned kimber hero. i would stay away from all of them, given your characterization of the cdp player.

none of the kimber cables are warm. warm is a coloration. kimber aims for neutrality.

call them up and ask them what their philosophy is.

it is very hard to find warm cables. no designer will admit to deliberately producing a colored cable.

finding one is very difficult.

Are you looking for an ultra warm, rich, syrupy, dark, veiled, slow, carmel colored cable? Sorry but I did not read in your post what Mrtennis seems to see.

If everybody shares the same thinking or philosophy as yours, I reckon there wouldn't be any discussions on CD players, amps, preamps, speakers or cables. In fact the forums wouldn't exist. Reviewers won't be able to use any adjectives to describe the product in review or make any comparisons. And only one line will be applicable :-
