I'm looking for a power cord with tight, lean bass and rich, full mids with smooth highs. I know folks say you shouldn't use cables as a tone control but I am trying to tame some bass on my player.
Purist Audio Dominus Ferrox. Doesn't have lean bass, but it controls bass like no other power cord I know. I can't explain why it does what it does...but it does...
Check out the Fusion Audio Predator... It transformed the bass in my system from boomy and bloated to tight and fast. You can demo one for the price of shipping and see if it works for you. Highly recommended!
