My apt has at least 200 amps of service. (80 range, 40 air, 2x 15 amp for walls, and 2x20 in kitchen.) One of 20amp outlet in kitchen is the frig, another outlet sits on the side unused. (I would think it is for a microwave). Anyway, the outlet near the equipment is a series from the single 15 amp for all the wall outlets in living room and bedroom (the other 15amp is the kitchen app and bath wall outlets)
I had used the crummy 15 multi for awhile, but had some Belden shielded power cord I bought to use as homemade power cords. So I used a Wattgate plug, ran the wire around all the wall (first across bottom of unused closet, the around back of large closet, over entryway door, and down along baseboard to the area I have my stuff, into a metal box with two hospital grade outlets. About 47 feet long. The cord is invisible to anyone who would casually be in my apt. Only the plug and wire in the kitchen is noticable.
The difference in the power is smoother, kind of like having a conditioner in the line, or kind of like having dedicated lines!
I do have several conditioners. A Monster AVS2000 a Monster 7000SS, a Monster 5000, a Furman strip, some Adcom 515s
Most are for used individual items, and mostly in the video portion of my stuff. My amp is straight into the A/C.
Form my experimenting, I find the more cleaning, the clearer the sound, but also the 'bleaching' of the bass. That is the bass becomes thin. (same in video, way too much conditioning bleaches the color from the picture. A little conditioning improves the clarity and removes the grain from the picture.)
I would say the use of the long cord for A/C is about the same as a single mild conditioner. IT cleans up the hash in the A/C.
