Cable Breakin

Just received a pair of HiDiamond 8 speaker cable. Out of the box they seem to be very laid back and lacking presence. Do these cables change with breakin and how long does breakin typically take?
arh
If you do not like the basic sound then return them.
Break in should be like getting the icing on the cake.
If they displease you right off. forget them.
There are a few items where the item sucks until it breaks in.. But those are Headphones.. and speakers most of the time.
I had a seven meter interconnect which sounded like cat vomit for the first two days.. But I expected it to be hard to sound great as it was after all.. seven meters long.
But the thrd day I was satisfied it was going to be good.

Waiting a long time just makes you used to sound...
(and naturally someone else will chime in how their cable took sixteen months to break in and went from cat puke to glorious...) right.
Well, you know that all of the moving parts and the electronic components in a cable have to break-in before it sounds good, right? A year or two of break-in at 20 hrs. a day at 120db oughta do it.

Just kidding...

I tend to agree with Elizabeth on this one, although I believe in break in. Do you have refund ability if you decide to return them? And if so, where did you purchase?
often break in time for wire is around 100 hours

give it at least that much time if you can
