Cartridge suggestion needed for a Dual 604


Hi,

I have an old Dual 604 turn table that I would like to replace the cartridge. Currently, it has an old worn out Accutex cartridge. I am looking to spend about $100-200 on a new cartridge. I am looking at get getting a new phono stage such as the Creek. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The inexpensive Grado cartridges are a fine match for the Dual. $200.00 is a but much to spend for a cartridge for this player unless you plan to upgrade it in the near future. $60.00 to $120.00 should get the most out of your current rig. If you do feel the need to spend the full monty, the pricier Grados are still a good match;The
Shure V15VxMR is another good choice as it is not too arm sensitive and has very good sound.
