I would wonder about "for the current price/value: are current cables better?
A blanket statement makes me wonder if the answerer is just 'selling cables', or has actually done some homework on this?
Is a new (on used market of course) cable at a certain price better than a much older but originally far more expensive, but selling used now at the same price, as the newer used cable... a question of cost/performance/value?
I mean Kimber PBJ is still a good value, and it is easily a 15 year old design
