Hot for Revel F30... Will my amp do/ or be doodoo?

Looked at the Revel F30 today at a local dealer. Interested.
Want to dump my 20 year old Infinity IIa's. Curious the Revels are 3,500 ... just about the retail of the Infinity, 20 years back.
I have a Forte' 4a amp. A 50 watt per channel baby. It can pump out a surprising amount of amperage for 50 watts a side. Just curious if any comments about using this amp with the Revel? (I can barely afford the speakers, so a new amp to go with the new speakers is out of the question.
(at least the dealer will loan me the demo pair, (paid in full of course) to see if I like them ('prolly 30 days) and if I do, I can order the finish I want and swap 'em the demos back for my new speakers, or just return the demos and get my 100 cash back.... cool.

Adcom preamp (the good one)
Sony SCD777ES
Kimber silver cables
Audioquest Midnight speaker cable (bi cabled: 2 cables each side... I got the second set dirt cheap when they closed 'em out)
Monster 500 line conditioner
Some (a few) Zucable powercords
A bunch of non-primary signal path junk (CD,DA's etc)

The Forte is a Class A design, those 50 watts are like at least 100 from any AB amp, I think it'll work for you unless you play things too loud; the home demo is the right way to go. Don't give up that amp unless you absolutely have to, it's a true classic! Sounds like an excellent dealer (like the ones I buy from), one who knows how to treat customers right. Hope you enjoy the speakers!

I have the F30's and love them.
I am currently running them in an all Proceed/Levinson system.
I am using the Proceed Amp 5 which is an amazing amp with tons of headroom and power (125 watts/channel)
I have also used them with a Bryston 9bsst (170 w/ch)
I am selling the Amp 5 because from what I have heard, to really "sing" these speakers require a lot more clean power and headroom (at least 200 watts).
I doubt your amp will make them sing. DOnt get me wrong, they will sound good but these are seriously amazing sounding, dynamic speakers. To get the most of them they will require the next step.....an upgrade in amp. And it does not end there. These are REALLY revealing, so before you know it, the pre-amp and cd player will come into question. It is an awful cycle but in mind, entirely worth it. You will love them. Good luck.
