NAD M3 Master Series Amp

I'm using a M3 in my home system as a 2ch. amp for critical music listening. I use the same L&R speakers also in a Home Theater setup using a Onkyo Receiver. Unfortunately I have to switch speaker wires each time I decide to listen to stereo music or watch movies because the sound from the Receiver on 2ch music is not that great, even bi-amped.

The M3 does not have a HT bypass. I've heard there is a simple way to upgrade this amp for bypass but I can't find any information on where or how to do it. Anyone have any information?

Thanks in advance,

Stevizzy, since your dealer is unaware of the firmware upgrade I suggest that you contact NAD customer support. They are certainly aware of it since I know of someone that previously had it done with their support. Good luck!
Thanks guys for all the replies. Today I called Bob Moran at NAD Canada. He got me setup with a service center in Baltimore that's going to run the firmware update for me. He said it's something I could do with a Windows PC and sent me the codes, but I'm a Mac user and would rather not fuss with it. It's not difficult but if not done correctly could be tough to correct later.

They are a great Company to deal with. He made sure everything was arranged and that the service center had the proper firmware codes. They couldn't have been more helpful. Best experience I've ever had dealing with an audio equipment manufacturer. They really care about their customers and the equipment they sell.
Glad to hear that NAD is handling everything for you, and Bob is definitely the best person there to work with!
