Tivoli Radio???

Has anyone heard one of these? My girlfriend want to buy one. She says they sound great. Looks like another Bose scam to me.

Drubin, you have one of those cool Proton clock radios from the early '80s? A friend of mine had one of those in college. I still use a late '80s Nakamichi clock radio. I think the Tivolis are neat looking. I wish someone would make one that looked like those old Scott tuners.
I have one (currently sitting here at my table office), just plug the iPOD and nice music all around!
Zaikesman,

Why shoud someone flame you? You don't like it. People have different likes and dislikes. I think they are great radios with the emphasis on radio. I would not use them as the centerpiece to a stereo system. I don't think they are good enough to perform in that role.
Tivolis work very well as desktop or kitchen counter or nightstand radios or as a tuner input to a stereo system. They sound their best in nearfield listening situations. As mini systems, in even a small bedroom, the Tivolis do not work out as well. They are just too small sounding. You would be better off with some of the TEAC mini components and some NHT Absolute Zero speakers.

I'm with Narrod. No flames required. They are nice radios, not hi-fi audio systems. I'm listening to my PAL today while working on taxes. It's the only tuner I have in the house that will pick up my local college station with any consistency.

Enjoy,
