Tvad,
They are cool at all times. I keep them on 24/7 and even when run hard they
stay cool to the touch.
Can anyone confirm the operation class of these amps (Class A, Class A/B or
Class D)?
The Samson (M225), and the D225 appear to have the earmarks of Class D
amps in that they run cool and have reasonably small unventilated
enclosures.
Ecruz mentions in his listing for a TRL D225: ...absolutely dead quiet, the
sound is effortless, neither warm nor cold, neither like tubes nor solid state,
just music".
This describes what I have heard in one or two Class D amps (particularly the
NuForce Ref9SE V2), and especially the description of lack of coloration
(neither warm nor cold) and sounding neither like tubes nor solid state.
