Tvad, then Audiofeil followed that up with, "However, like every other Class D amp, will never be confused with the best solid state products." That is where we will never agree on.
I see.
My interpretation of AF's post was that he was complimentary of Wyred4Sound amps, although in his opinion they are not at the same performance level as the best solid state amps. That seems like a reasonable comment to me. There are many amps that are not on the same performance level as the best solid state amps (or the best of any topology).
Perhaps where we disagree is where you appear to be using Pass X150 and X600 amps to make your conclusions about "the best solid state amps" (this based on your post above where you state having heard the X150 and X600 amps). The X150 and X600 are arguably not the best Pass Labs products at present.
When you encourage others to hear the best Class D amps before coming to conclusions about the topology, in fairness it would be reasonable for you to follow the same advice regarding Class A amps.
In any case, this discussion about Class A amps is off topic. This is not a thread debating the merits of Class D vs. Class A. The OP asked only specifically about Wyred4Sound amps.
