If your goal is quietness, I can't imagine any tube preamp being quieter than a solid state preamp.
It's really an apples to oranges comparison.
Having owned several tube preamps, in addition to the FS Presence Deluxe II, no solid state preamp I have auditioned has produced the same expansive image as the FS Presence Deluxe II (or a couple other tube preamps I have owned).
So, while you will likely realize more quietness (and more neutrality) with the Ayre, you may also give up the large, enveloping image the FS produces.
Another preamp I owned that produced an image akin to the FS, and that was a bit more transparent (and slightly quieter) was the Atma-Sphere MP-1 MK III. Priced in another level, however.
