vintage tuner: McIntosh or Sansui?

Looking for an attractive, good sounding tuner in the <$600 range. I was thinking of Sansui TU-517 or TU-717 ...
vs. ... a McIntosh like a MR73 or MR77.

Is there a significant difference in performance?

I settled in with the Sansui TU-717 and still have two of them. Last year I bought a Sansui TU-919 and had it moddified by Joseph Chow. I added a Magnum Dynalab ST-2 antenna an MD Signal Sleuth (signal amp). Very good performance!
