Neither of those speakers is particularly suited to tube amplification.

Do some more research into them. The measurements section of the Stereophile review of the Confidence C1 is a good place to start.

A great budget integrated tube amp that I have been very satisfied with is the JJ828. It got a lot of press a few years ago, but fellout of notoriety. It is imported by Eurotubes. Since he doesn't have a dealer network, he is isting them for sale at "call for a great price", should be well under $2000. For reference, the other amplifiers which I own are Pass Labs Aleph3 and AtmaSphere MA1s with all the options and NOS tubes. The JJ is not humiliated standing in this exalted company.

Worth a look see, the SQ-88 from Quest for Sound a 55 watt integrated. Steve Monte great guy to deal with, check his website.

Jolida's usually build great stuff on tubes.

IMO, you need *at least* 100wpc to drive the 86dB speakers. 200wpc would be better.

A 55wc tube integrated isn't going to get the job done.

Frankly, for these speakers, I'd look at something like a used Moscode 401HR. You'd get some tube flavor combined with solid state muscle.
