Anyone heard this record? I heard Bettye LaVette yesterday on "World Cafe" and I was shocked! I didn't know anyone sang real Soul Music anymore. If you haven't heard of her and you like real soulful music, you owe it to yourself to check it out.
Thanks I'll look it up. Analoge label? OK Sorry about the late response, got the "best Of" Candi Staton CD on the Archive label. She is a vastly overlooked talent. Good and powerful voice. Unless I just have my head buried in the usual audiophile female voice sands.
