R.E.M. Accelerate - LP or CD?

FYI, the LP comes packaged with the CD of the album, in case that is of interest to you.

The LP is very nicely pressed and sound very good to me. I was very happy with it. (And luckily for me, Rasputin had a couple of them mismarked @ $19, so I bought both of them. One to listen to and one to hold onto.)

IMHO, it is the best REM album in the past 10 years or so.
I have tickets to see them at the Greek Theater in Berkeley on June 1st., and Modest Mouse is opening for them, so I am really excited about seeing them both!

That'll be a great show.

I was aware that the LP comes with a CD.

the lp is great....my cd is cureently at home in the car.

My wife picked up the CD a couple of weeks ago. I am a huge fan of REM and found it disappointing on first listen. Loud and compressed, way beyond any previous REM release.

I'll have to listen again (might have just been in the wrong mood), but if I'm right about the CD, I hope the LP is better.

Guess I got a bit carried away, just frustrated how hard it can be sometimes to do something without a digital link in the chain. And how fast digital can seem to move to swallow everything up in its path.

The 45s could be cool.
