Oy vey. I live in Portland, ground zero for the Pink Martini phenomenon. It's amazing that the gestalt of our little city is defined by Tonya Harding, Pink Martini, and having more strip clubs per capita than any other city in America. There's some good stuff going on here as well and that stuff ain't it.
Is China Forbes pitch perfect?
Any Pink Martini fans would probably understand why I ask this question. I just listened to Sympathique's 'Lullaby' song, which is the last song off of the 'Sypathique' release. It is the most hauntingly beautiful vocals I've ever heard in my life. China Forbes voice is without a doubt one of the best female vocals I've ever heard. It's difficult for me to even argue that statement with myself. Could she be pitch perfect? This is obviously my own opinion, but man can she sing.
The Pink Martini song 'Clementine' off of Hang on Little Tomato is a female vocal force to be reconed with. I think she may be the perfect female voice. I realize we all have our favorites but WTF??? This chick is unreal. I don't know what she looks like, but I'm gonna maul her if I meet her.
