Best CD I've heard so far 2011.........

Keithr - As much as I want to like it, the new Bon Iver LP just isn't doing it for me. While I enjoy some of the tunes, there's something rather detached and distant about it, and it simply doesn't give me the emotion that the first LP has in spades. Also, the recording is nowhere near as good as "For Emma...". Maybe I need to let it grow on me.

OK, that's the third time I've heard that in three days so I'm going to have to give it a listen. Thanks for that, I do enjoy the wife's solo stuff.

Here are some new bands that deserve your attention. From NZ, a great new kiwi band is The Naked & Famous. From the UK, I love three new bands: Big Deal, Cat's Eyes and Polarsets.

Four U.S. Indie bands I love are Cults, Eisley, Givers, and WU LYF. For lovers of 70's and 80's AOR, I can highly recommend Eisley from Tyler, Texas.
