Mary Chapin Carpenter and Shawn Colvin

I haven't posted in a while but this is worth knowing about. I was fortunate enough to go hear this concert the other night in Calgary in an old church. It was outstanding. Just the two singers and their guitars. Their interaction with one another and the audience was great. If you get a chance, and like this music, I don't think you will be disappointed. Here is a link to the tour.

I saw their show last Thursday in Portland. The most intimate show I have ever seen. Like being in their living room. I expected the excellent music, what was not expected was the candid insights into their lives and relationship with one another. It was a show like no other. The show being acoustic without band support probably helped to distill it even further.

It's too bad the tour is so short, but perhaps after they get some other obligations taken care of they can pick it up again. Highly recommended.
Thanks for the info. Peeked my interest and looked to see show in Chicago, but not willing to plunk $150 a ticket for it.
Saw the show in Blackfoot, Id. 2.5 hrs of fantastic entertainment. Great acoustic show. Their history together was shared through their music and storytelling. Remarkable at their craft.
Mofimadness,

"Three Girls and their Buddy" was also on PBS. Not as good as seeing them live but still a treat. Glad I have a copy on my DVR. My favorite from the show was "Shelter Me" featuring Patty and Buddy. That version is better (guitar and vocals IMO) than the album version with Julie Miller.
