Unfortunately, there is no scientific explanation as to why shakti stones can influence sound; its all down to placebo effect.

While I have no information to prove this, I was always under the impression that Shakti Stones were ceramic tiles that contain ferrites, which will affect EMI/RMI and are often used as filters in aftermarket power cords among many other applications.
Check the info on the
Murata Manufacturing website.
In my opinion, the question surrounding Shakti Stones has been the mystery marketing technique that allows Shakti to charge a large sum for their Stones, when similar filtering can be achieved much less expensively.
Again, it's just my theory.
