Help me choose a power conditioner, please

My Adcom ACE-515 just passed away. I have a Monster Cable HTS 5000 that is making noise and has lost power to some outlets, so I fear its days are numbered. I listen to two chanel, mostly vinyl (Rega), Rotel amps bridged to mono block, Marsh pre amp. My budget is LOW, thinking about the BPT CPC at $254.00 new or Tripp Lite LCR 2400 at $300.00. I live not too far from power lines and the power to my home is not so good I fear. Thanks in advance.

Honestly, I don't believe you're going to hear much benefit in conditioning at your price point. You could look into the Brick Wall surge protectors, but conditioners? Tough call.

Perhaps, you could buy a used Shunyata Hydra 2 and Shunyata Diamondback power cord for around $400. Try that on your digital source, or on your analog source and preamp. If the Hydra 2 doesn't do anything in your system, you couldd resell for what you paid. Shunyata gear holds its value pretty well.

Otherwise, I'd suggest having at least one dedicated 20a AC line installed and also install a couple of Porter Ports wall outlets.

You could probably do this within your budget depending on where you live. I live in Los Angeles, where all contracting services are relatively expensive compared to the rest of the country (except NYC, SF). My two dedicated AC lines and two Porter Ports cost me about $500 professionally installed.
Thanks Tvad and per your PT question/thread...try the new band Abigails Ghost, thanks again, Brian
