Do you say Thank You?


I'd like to know the experience of Audiogoners who have emailed members privately for information or advice. If you receive a careful and considered reply to your question, do you acknowledge the reply with a thank you? I try to do so. It's proper etiquette, isn't it?

My experience is that more than half do not.

Why do you suppose that is?

I do dislike it when sellers don't add "sold" to their title line, so that you have to actually click on the listing before learning this.
I thought people wouldn't want be bothered by private e-mails. I try to keep most Audiogon corespondence on Audiogon. I hope it's not considered rude or lazy, but the few times I have requested help, I always leave with; "as always thanks in advance".
