It depends on the music. Classical chamber music or jazz is great with a multichannel system with one performer in each channel. This puts the performers in your room. However, I really don't want the Boston Symphony Orchestra in my living room.

Transported. They're not in your living room; re-creating the performance means taking you to the room, hall or studio booth.
