Any good stereo shops in Dayton or Cincinnati Ohio

Are there any good stereo shops in Dayton or Cincinnati Ohio? I have Friday and Saturday to browse around and can head towards either city. I know about Audible Elegance in Cincy, but are there any others?

Thanks,
Chuck

Chuck,

I think you are out of luck. We are, uh, underserviced, here in the Queen City (Cinci). Incredibly we have several boutique manufacturers, i.e. Wavelength Audio, UltraFi/Larry Moore Audio, Morrow Audio and Parker Audio, but not much in the way of retail establishments.

Sorry for the disappointment. If you are interested in SET amps, a killer USB DAC or single driver speakers, you might be able to hook up with Larry Moore for a demo. Morrow Audio is about 1/2 South of Cincinnati. You might want to check Mike's website and see if his stuff interest you. If so, you might be able to set up a demo.

Parts Express is in Springboro, just South of Dayton. I stop in there regularly when driving up to Dayton.

Enjoy,

I live right between Dayton and Cinci and it is pretty dry around here. Audio Etc in Centerville and Carlin Audio in Kettering are the only two I know of. Parts Express is just a couple miles the road but it is basically a warehouse with a small store front really just meant for picking up orders.

Reubent, I couldn't help but notice we both have a simple setup with monitors and the same tv. Must be an Ohio thing.
Don't recall the name of the place in Kettering, but I stopped in to listen to Vandersteens a couple of years ago and was treated well. They spent time letting me hear the 1C, 2CE sigs, and the 3As. Very nice. I think I found them on Vanderteen's web site.
Geared4me,

My system just got more simple tonight. I just bought a pair of Quad 12L Active speakers and have them hooked directly to the variable output of my EVS level 2 mod'd Oppo 970 Universal player. It can't get much more simple than that! 2 components, great sound.......

BTW, I've thoroughly enjoyed the Panasonic EDTV plasma for the last few years. I waited until the price dropped to $2500 to buy it! It's crazy what you can buy today for $2500!

Enjoy,

Yes there is a place in Oakwood (S. Dayton suburb), on Far Hills that has some nice gear. I was in last summer and listened to the new Thiel's (their flagship new model) They also had Jm Labs, Dyaudio, CJ, etc..... Pretty nice guy's too.
