Sacd/dvd-a, The Hype Is Dead, For Me At Least...
Interesting to hear so many points I can identify with having been down a similar route. It has long been my contention that the formats have failed to attract even large sections of what should have been the early adoptors.
Man, am i losing my hearing?
Slappy seriously you should get it checked. There is a condition called Otoscerlosis (sp?)which can hit you late 20's early 30's and is basically genetic and not related to outside considerations like your military background. You are more likely to...

Entrope which of these recordings you refer to have you heard in your system?
Why Lots of Current Music Sounds Miserable...
Yes but what "crap" are we talking about?

Any problems with Springsteens DualDisc?
Whilst the Sprinsteen disc has a seperate DVD here in the UK,HI-FI Choice magazine last month gave away a Dualdisc and my Ayre CX-7 just doesn't read it at all.Not good.
Another sign SACD is dying
I think the strangest thing in this debate that most of us are actually not that far apart on the fundamental issues. My belief is that those who have gotten most out of SACD are those who've been lucky enough to have serious money to spend on a pl...
