Analog bliss!
I have a system where I found myself listening almost exclusively to CDs.  They just sounded better.  After some investigating I purchased a VPI Prime TT with a quality tone arm, cart, and phone preamp.  My previous TT had a built in phono pre-amp...

I have a clamp with my VPI Prime.  In the beginning I used it all the time, then thought,  "Why"?  Now I never use it with no difference in the sound and it doesn't seem to flatten a slightly warped record.

I upgraded my cart with noticeable improvement. TT has a built-in preamp so another separate preamp won't do unless I buy another TT.
