| Raidho D2.1 TAD or Raidho? | |
| Nature of the current used speaker market I’d imagine the dealer would rather sit on the speaker then sell it for less then they paid for. They can keep their doors open with the fat margins they make on new gear. | |
| Could I be a Retail Wretch? I would love to talk about my experience with dealers one day. It would appear I was the only one with class at planetofsound. Audio eden was way better. I’ll get into it another time. As for the guy above me... you should stop trolling. | |
| How important is it for you to attain a holographic image? Dynamics are everything.. it will be painful to downsize as I do believe nothing will touch my current speakers dynamics below or at it’s price point... on the suggestion of someone here I put on Roger Water’s Amused to Death album. Wow... talk ab... | |
| Big speakers in small room at moderate volume levels I may have to downsize/downgrade next year. Is the KEF Ref 1 a worthy replacement for my JBL 4367? Reason for downsize... can’t play loud bass anymore in the new apartment. | |
| What amps should I audition? @joeinid funny you mention the 250.8 as the guy I bought my 30.5 from is now selling his...@builder3 whats the difference between the 509x and the 590ax? | |
| What amps should I audition? So far I've considered these options seriously:Going back to Pass Labs. Love the refined sound of Pass gear. With my budget I could go for 60.8 monoblocks. Or go for a 30.8 and with a XP-20.Ayre.Mcintosh mc462 or mc452. I was contacted by a member... | |
| A problem with AC Power you may not have considered. I'm considering running my gear thru my 20ampere outlet in the kitchen. It would require about 100 foot power cord snaking along my ceiling. What do you guys think about this? | |
| Are Pass Labs amps probably the best ever you can buy ? @cakyol see if you can audition and compare to Jbl 4367. I think you’ll be surprised how much better the 4367 can perform compared to the other speakers in the synthesis range. | |
| What speakers are you running with your Pass Labs XA 30.8? @james_edwards oh no doubt the pass will be okay into 4ohms! even 2ohms! a lot of people pair pass with wilsons, and we all know wilsons have some very tough impedance curves. | |
| Is Theta hybernating again? Addy why are you such a troll... | |
| A new (huge) R2R high end DAC in town 18,000 euros. Yikes I’d imagine it would be around $30,000 Canadian dollars after taxes and duty. A dac for oil barons! | |
| What speakers are you running with your Pass Labs XA 30.8? @addyson instead of being a smartass you could answer the question. I’m not wasting time explaining why I have gone through “some much equipment” to you. And as for the Kinki as I’ve said repeatedly it’s not a permanent solution. Buzz off you troll. | |
| JBL 4367: What an AMAZING sounding speaker! No maritime, but the Kinky was never meant to be a permanent addition to my system. | |
| JBL 4367: What an AMAZING sounding speaker! @alex_bolotnikov wow congrats on the purchase. How big is your room?@mrdecibel thanks. I’m hoping to acquire a new amp next year. Either a good integrated (thinking Accuphase it Luxman integrated) or possibly a mcintosh mc462. |
