About a year or so ago I had a chance to use for an extended period, a Ayon Triton with the Tyler Acoustics Woodmeres I am using. I was a wonderful match. very musical! If I ever go back to tubes, (not likely because of the Emitter), I would go wit...
Do you leave your components on 24/7?
I have a Wadia 861 thats been on 24/7 for well over 5 years. Not one problem.Wadia recommends that it stay powered up for several reasons. As they put it..."The unit will remain thermally stable for less stress and wear on internal circuitry and for...
Pre Amp with top class phono stage?
McIntosh C2300 has a very nice sounding MM and MC phono stage.Very flexible on-the-fly set-up and adjustability for different cartridges all by remote.

Designer Hall of Fame
Friedrich Schaefer of ASR Emitter fame...Whether or not you think his products are overhyped...The results speak for themselves to those privledged to have owned and used them.
Amps that are "forward"
Seems to me, (being one of those "older" audiophiles) that all you might need to do is aquire a decent analog frequency equalizer, patch it in somehow and do some careful adjustments. (I actually remember way back when it was OK to use tone contro...
How much does your system retail for?
Based on MSRP...about 80K(not including all the tweaks, etc.)Frankly i've never equated the price of a piece with its sound quality. I go with what sounds good in my room and for my tastes. If it happens to be expensive,(one mans expensive..is anot...

what amp will match well with Tyler acoustics
Well,Im using, with great sucess,an Art Audio Carissa Signature SET making 16 wpc with my Woodmeres.I've also used a 350 wpc McIntosh MC402.Now I dont suggest a flea powered SET, but what that tells me is that just about any well made amp (within r...
Tell the truth How often do you clean your gear?
I'm no obsessive-compulsive when it come to dust but don't like to see it,so I go over the system with a Swiffer 360 duster about once a week. Smudges,etc..get wiped off with a micro-fiber cloth immediately,if i see them.
what is honey colored? examples?
I'd go back a little farther and say more like vintage Fisher or Marantz tube gear.Slightly rolled off frequency extremes with a mid-range bump. Very listenable.
Should I end my search
These cables sound like they are working well in your system. If your happy with the perceived musical improvements, I think you should give these an extended listen and enjoy them for a while before you start thinking there "might" be something b...
