Not Another NuForce thread......
I've heard that the heat "issue", is just do to where they place the components inside the chasis on the V2. Which, I guess, is slightly different than where they were on the V1.I plan to have my Ref 9's upgraded to V2 when they reduce the backlog...
Squeeze Box Love'n'hate
"but the sound quality still doesn't equal any of my transports"First, try a good power supply it will make a BIG difference. Then, give Wayne @ www.boldercables.com a chance to mod it. He can work wonders on them.
Squeeze Box Love'n'hate
I'm a Mac guy and a Squeezebox guy. I have a Bolder modded SB3 and before that was running an SB1. I have them hardwired and have never experienced any of the problems described. I will never go back to a traditional disc player.
Most resolving, transparent amps.

turntable to computer - another question
Alebobsing-Thanks for the info. So if I use software with RIAA equaization, I don't need a phono amp?
turntable to computer - another question
Any other good ways to go from vinyl to the computer? I was going to use a M-Audio 2496, but found out my G5 Mac is one of only a couple of newer Macs that it won't work with. Someone (who sells them) recommended an Art USB Phono 2. Any other opti...
Behringer DEQ 2496 help
There is a way to reset to factory settings, I've used it before. But I'm at work right now & can't remember it. I think I found it by emailing Behringer support.
Recommended in-wall Speakers?
I guess it depends on what type of music you listen to and the associated equipment. To me the B&W's were the best of the bunch. But that was, in that shop, with the gear they were using and to my ears.I don't know about Paradigm, but B&W ...
Recommended in-wall Speakers?
I have two pair of Polk's, one pair in the great-room & one pair in the bedroom, I can't remember which model but they retail for about $350. They sound better than I thought they would, using my computer as a source and Nakamichi receiver to ...
Behringer DEQ 2496 help
Cwlondon-I was in the same situation. I always thought the shortest signal path was the best and that if at all possible, you shouldn't mess with the signal. But I had read several reviews saying what a bargain the Behringer was and how you couldn...

Nuforce with Stillpoints ERS fabric
Actually that is one of the products that's recommended for tweaking the Nuforce amps. Check out this sight for more info.www.magnancables.com/pages/tweaks/nuforce.html
Are Magnepan MMGW's going to work with my NAD T761
I've since gone to Vandersteens, but I love & have owned several Maggies, including the MMG's. When I first bought them I was driving them with that exact receiver, NAD T761. They sounded okay, but they'll really sound great when you add some ...
Receiver Recommendations
Just to wrap this thread up. I got the speakers installed(much easier than I expected) and tried them with the Nakamichi SR-4a & the Carver receiver. They were both good & the Carver tuner section was slightly better in my house, but I lik...
