Boulder monoblock 2150
For an interesting side view on the nouveau riche and their taste in audio I recommend reading "The Invisibility Cloak" by Ge Fei.  This is the story of a hi fi manufacturer/dealer in contemporary China. It's a quick read and the audio references ...
Dang my luck
@last_lemming if you are referring to two degrees off on azimuth that's at the bounds of acceptable (see here) and may warrant returning
Dang my luck
In my experience (including with much more expensive carts) this looks well within tolerances. Align to the cantilever and stylus (not the cartridge body) and you should have no issuesbut if it bothers you and you can do s then return it
Who thinks $5K speaker cable really better than generic 14AWG cable?
Seems some doctors at least least are convinced of the merit of upgrading the power cords to their medical equipment 😏http://www.shunyata.com/index.php/news/331-noise-reduction-in-medical-procedures

Best female vocal recording on CD?
Surprised btw that no-one has mentioned Janis Ian "Breaking Silence" yet -- I know it’s an audiofool chestnut but it really is a superb recordingAnd finally here’s one to mess with your head
Best female vocal recording on CD?
@meiatflask I think you're obsessing about recording quality a bit too much -- the true measure of a system should be how well it presents the musical event irrespective of the recording (i.e. it finds all that can be found even in a mediocre reco...

Why does it take so many hours to brea in arc preamps and amps?
It's generally put down to the time needed to break in the Teflon caps. I've had a Ref 2 phono SE for four years now and still only up to 391 hours ... and I'm not sure I can tell you if it's changing as over this long a timeframe lots of other th...
Amplifier Enclosure Resonance
I have had great results with Shakti stones. Not too heavy and as well as damping they deal with issues from transformers. The size suits your needs. Btw have you also tried Herbies tube dampers? Check this thread for what to expecthttps://forum.a...
Who thinks $5K speaker cable really better than generic 14AWG cable?
@dynaquest4 I suspect it is your use of the term "rubber feet" when the Sort Fut is aluminium, bronze and ceramic with no rubber at all -- implying you have done no research and have no real interest nor belief in the value of vibration controlI’v...
The Palladian-A step beyond
Ha, no free 💰 screws for me 😺 (or will that comment get me censored) -- and I've not even had a response from the distributor yet as to how I can buy them! But maybe the New Year will bring me gifts 😏
Anyone replace the batteries in their AudioQuest DBS packs?
I just recently replaced all mine. Did I hear a difference? Not sure, especially as it takes few days for the DBS fields to fully form so not that easy to do quick comparisons. Mine were five or more years old as well. Anyway if yours are more tha...
Power conditioner
@ctsooner -- please hold off on selling your Powercell until after you have had the circuits installed and have a chance to listen with/without. The two are not mutually exclusive and I would consider both dedicated lines and suitable power condit...
