ESL 57. I recently got them (piquet modified) and they transformed my system from good to sublime.

This is very helpful, Coolhand. I may actually give it a try. Ken Kessler raves about the V20...that might be an interesting one to try. It looks like EARs are pretty hard to find in the second hand market, am i right?

Thanks for the suggestions. So, between the two i'll definitely go with the Mac. I am also looking into the Musiklab...not very popular in the US, but the reviews look terrific. And they are designing their first integrated.
