| The best phono stage out there? Ecka , i have a Audion note /Kondo step-up & i use it with my AIR TIGHT ATE-2 Phono stage. it has 2 phono inputs as well as a line level input , you could use it as a pre amp with its volume control ,but it sounds alot better as a phono stage. | |

| Cartridge or external power supply upgrade My guess would be to get the better cartridge . i have a simon yorke with a walker motor drive & a kondo io-j ,if i had to get rid of one (or downgrade)it would be the motor drive NOT the cart. | |

| CAT Ultimate im using a crown jewel se ..53mV output.it works but not enough gain.(no low bass or dynamics) just got a step up ,what a difference..but now i think im overloading.anyway to lower the gain on the cat phono stage or turn it into a MM stage????? | |
