| Which adcom sounds best? I have a GFA555 , 2535 , 5802 that are currently in my system . The 5802 is a mosfet design , where as the 555 & 2535 are bipolar . My 555 use to drive my Infinity Kappa 9s . Just listen and hear what sounds best to you . | |

| Carver VS Adcom Hi , I have used the 555 for 20 years . I have also had a few Carver amps back in 80s . I personally would keep the Adcom . You can have it modded at a later time also. They sold a blue million of these for a reason , good luck . | |
| Solid state amp for Stratus Gold i Hi , im currently using an Adcom 5802 with good results . I also have used a Adcom 555 . I prefer the sound of mosfet vs bipolar . Good luck those speakers have great base . | |
| NAD vs. Adcom Ive own 3 Adcom amps 5802 ,555 ,2535 . If you have speakers that are bright go with the 5500 . Dull speakers would benefit from the 555ii . Mosfets almost always sound better than bi-polar in my opinion. | |
| Any former PSB Goldi owners happy w/new bass? I currently use the last version of the Gold i. It still a very good speaker for the money . If youre into rock or country its hard to beat ( great bass ). Im sure there are beter speakers , but they do cost more . Good luck | |
| What multimeter / functions to look for... I would go for the best Fluke in your budget. I use them at work ( ind. electrician ). I also have an analog Simpson if the need be. Flukes are built tough and are rated for higher voltages. | |

| Best cassette deck for transferring to cdr? I have to say Nak , also . Ive had two , and I have had various other Pioneer ( ct1000 , ct9191 ), Teac , Yamaha , decks . A cd taped on a Nak is almost identical . Tandberg and Revox would be my other options . | |
