Yes, good point. Could position on side with tweeters inside or out depending on what sounds best.
How does music "move" down a wire?
Public A ha moment - pretty clear to me now why performance of speaker wire is contingent on impedance curve of speakers, amplifier capability and properties, and to a lesser (or greater) degree, the sensitivities and proclivity of the listener. G...

OK, that's helpful info. The 807V's would be best for use as front speakers in HT set up from my limited listening experience.
Been away for awhile and need some help
Yes, sort of. I actually mis-typed - I meant to type the 706V and the 807V, which I have compared. Sorry for the confusion. I also compared these two speakers with Dali Icon monitors. I thought of the three, the 807V's sounded the best: less grain...
How does music "move" down a wire?
Thanks Al, very cool logic. Your analysis would of course hold best in scenario of an anechoic chamber. In the average listening room, reflections and nodes etc. would further diminish any vanishing differences in sound imparted by differences in ...

How does music "move" down a wire?
That was a very helpful explaination(s)."But the signal all gets to the end of the wire at basically the same time"This makes me think, how different would wire lengths have to be for the acute listener to notice a difference in the arrival time i...

How did the high output Sonata work for you? I have a Grado PH-1 and a Reference Platinum 1 running on an older Thorens TD 150 MKII turntable, and even with the high output Platinum I notice the preamp hums (a lot) if placed too close to my integr...

"ridiculous" as in ridiculously good, in case that wasn't clear. Sorry.
Going down Need help with cheap integrated amp
The smaller recent NAD 32Xs are very good. The new 315 is ridiculous. Cambridge 340A and used 540A are also very good.
Rega Apollo Vs. Saturn?
Yes, if your speakers are highly resolving.
Need Rec--Affordable Proac D25-esque speaker
Agree with Rdavwhitaker's suggestions, and I have found several Totem speakers to be a very good match with MF amps of the A5 generation. A pair of used Devore 8's may also fill the bill. A small floor stander from Naim may also be a good choice. ...
Vibration Theory - Isolate or Drain?
Some may find this discussion draining and isolating at the same time;-) This is not just an attempt at a little dark holiday humor, but actually a preview of my experience described below.I have tried both approaches with my CDP and find: 1. ther...
Best Towers Under $1500 for beginner system
Agree with Johnnyb53. Effective execution of multiple crossover networks adds challenges and cost. All things being equal, easier to achieve a coherent sound with a good two-way design - and I generally like small two-way towers from the likes of ...
