| Yanni or Laurel? I've been thinking more about this, and I think it happens all the time with our other senses. What about smell, or taste? There are lots of people who think peas are good, but I think they taste like crap. Now I see it. Peas don't taste like crap... | |
| Yanni or Laurel? OK, so Laurel seems to be tracking around 60%, and Yanny the other 40%. Here's the thing though. These two words are entirely different!. I am amazed by this, as I have only ever heard Laurel. I have tried different sources, moved to different roo... | |
| What was the first system you heard that made you think the high end made sense In 1971 I was only 11 and had a garage sale to raise money for a better stereo. $320 later I got a Pioneer receiver and a pair of Rectilinear 10B speakers from Tech Hi-Fi. Now I'm not saying they were high end, but at age11 they were the coolest. ... | |
| Belles Greatest Integrated ever! The Virtuoso Belles made a monoblock product MB-200 that were 200 watts into 8 Ohm and 400 into 4 Ohm. Those amps are stunning and have tons of current capability. They come up on Audiogon every once in a while and are usually around $3,000. They also have a 1... | |
| Recommendations for music network player You can get the Power Supply box from SOtM as well. It's $500 and plugs directly into the SMS 200 Ultra which is $1200. As for the SSD, well that's just an external hard drive that you can get anywhere that you put your music onto. People have sai... | |
| Recommendations for music network player One could also check out the SOtM SMS 200 Ultra at 1/2 cost of the Aurender N100h. Only thing is, it needs a good power supply and an external SSD. | |
| Aurender N100h vs. SOtM sms-200 Ultra It seems the SOtM sms200 ultra and the Aurender N100h are essentially the same thing except the SOtM has no internal hard drive or power supply, but is less than half the cost of the Aurender. I already have a 1TB SSD and external power supply so ... | |
| Sonic Tonic fom the Tweek Geek Not only does it cost a lot to get a patent, but enforcing it from being "knocked off" is almost impossible for the "little guy". | |
| Aurender N100h vs. SOtM sms-200 Ultra ferenc - Is there a consumer product that will read from an SS drive that will be controlable through an itype device and output to a DAC that uses this type of interface? Please provide more specific actual products as I don't know what you are t... | |
| Wrong way to clean a stylus! Oh well, sorry to hear about your misfortune, but if you're looking for support through numbers, I still recall driving home from a bicycle club ride and hitting the garage door remote to whip right in like Batman into his "Bat Cave". Only thing I... | |
| Aurrender N100H vs. A10 ? Thanks for those links. As it turns out, after 14 years I needed a new car. So my hi-fi budget will be curtailed for a while. I'm going to keep my eye on the N100h as well as the SOtM SMS 200 Ultra which looks interesting as well.John | |
| Which audio component would you like Santa to place under the christmas tree for you? Wait!! I want those new giant Wilson Chronosomethings. Then I could sell them, buy a Ferrari and have lots of "chicks" hanging on my arm. OK maybe this gets deleted, but I did start with the speakers.Happy Holidays to all. | |
| Aurender N100h vs. SOtM sms-200 Ultra Blindjim... you asked if my SSD was a network drive? It is a 1TB SSD with WAV and FLAC files on it that plugs directly into my Auraliti PK90 file player by USB connection in the rear. It would be used in the same way on the Aurender, or SOtM.Also m... | |
| Aurrender N100H vs. A10 ? I'm really only interested in the N100h. I was just wondering if the A10 is a N100h with a built in DAC?Thanks | |
| Yggy RCA Interconnects I had the same problem, but the Yggy has 2 sets of RCA outputs. I checked with Schiit and they said they were directly connected together in parallel. So put the left in one set and the right in the other. It works fine. |
