Parasound JC 3+ Phono Preamp Hum
Eric,  I posted earlier on and suggested trying another headshell and/or running a long extension cord to another outlet in the house. As I stated earlier for whatever reason one of my hums had to do with the pins on the head shell on my 1200gr to...
Phono cable and preamp for soundsmith Carmen mk2
I run a Carmen mk.II on a VPI Prime with a Parasound JC3+ and use Purist Audio Design, the Venustas (<sp?) family for the phono cable. I got my cable used. Sounds dynamic mic and natural. Highly recommend cable and phono pre.by the way The Cabl...

I have found the Parasound A21 does an admirable job for my 2.4’s. I wish someone with my same amp and speakers would speak up. I’d love to hear their thoughts.

Is anybody else using or have used a Parasound aA21 on the cA2.4’s. I use a one for years.  I’d be interested in what others thought. Specifically about how the amp and bass response were handled.

Thank you for y’all’s responses. I think what I’m going to do is go ahead and wait for the full kit be complete then I can do it all at once and be confident in my choice thank you!

Guys I need a bit of unbiased advice. That may be a stretch here;)Im considering upgrading my caps to SE spec on my CS2.4's. im sure the SE guys will jump in and say do it but before I do I'd like to hear your thoughts since there is a bit of risk...
Which wood Grado
Stevecham, how do those two carts you mention compare in the midrange and mid bass. The acoustics in my room are such that I lose a bit of that range.   Unfortunately my wife doesn't care, so no acoustic fixes.
I need your help. I have an ARC Ref 3, ARC 110, Vandersteen 5As, but no turntable.
I like (and own) the Parasound JC3+. It won’t add or subtract anything. No a super high end name but there’s a lot to the unit.

I have a 1200gr and the gap between it and my Prime is that that far. If my house  was on fire I wouldn’t feel guilty just grabbing the 1200gr. That may have something to do with the weight of the Prime ;)
New Technics SL1200gr, anyone taken the leap.
"Hello last lemming. I just picked mine up. Have you upgraded the tonearm cable or mat?" I use use a Funk Firm mat.
New Technics SL1200gr, anyone taken the leap.
I own one.  I also have a VPI prime with speed control.  The gap between the two is not as large as you might think.
Tube Pre-Amp, vs Solid State with Tone Controls/EQ to take edge off the top end?
Dep14:i use use a BAT VK 3ix preamp and a Parasound A21 amp, with PAD Venustas speaker cable.
Tube Pre-Amp, vs Solid State with Tone Controls/EQ to take edge off the top end?
I have Thiels and I used a BAT pre with SS amp to "take the edge" off the highs. A bit of tube rolling dialed it right in.the BAT is fully balanced too.
Thiel CS2.4 to what?
I’m listening to my 2.4’s right now. It takes a bit of work to get them to work. The main reason being they reproduce what’s fed into them. Unfortunately most of my music wasnt recorded in audiophile grade quality. Things can get shrill.  Of cours...
Technics Turntables...really???
I own a Prime and a Technics 1200GR. Each is on a separate system now so direct comparison is not possible; the 1200 is on the main system the Prime used to be on and uses a Dynavector P75 mkiii phono pre and the Prime uses a Parasound JC3+ phono ...
