| Are the Von Schweikert VR-4JRs really all that? I have them and love em. I auditioned quite a few speakers in that price range and knew the first time I heard them that they were for me. The in home demo nailed it. The folks at VSA (Kevin and Albert) are great to deal with as well. | |

| I've got a hum in my Sunfire sub..... I had a boston acoustics sub once that would hum if I bumped the RCA cable end hooked into the sub itself. Bumping it again or shaking it would make it good with the world again. I wish I had a more scientific reply, but you never know. | |

| Sony amplification sufficient to drive GP Homes? I wouldn't discount it altogether, just saying that it does sound good with better amplification. Since Hi Fi Buys aka Tweeter carry these, it would be pretty easy to test them at a store or even better bring them home (30 day return). Best of luck. |
