Tekton Design's new THE PERFECT SET equals "goosebumps time"
I’ve heard Tekton’s once (double Impacts) at CAF 2017 and they sounded good enough to definitely rate as contenders in their price range. Their unique thing is physically a lot of tube-amp friendly speaker for not as many bucks as other "high end"...

Tekton Design's new THE PERFECT SET equals "goosebumps time"
Hyperbole and comparisons aside, SET owners should be happy whenever any vendor provides a new, more affordable, good quality, high efficiency, easy drive speaker option that is designed specifically to be used to best effect with a SET. The good ...
GO PATS!
Meanwhile over at the Puppy Bowl, a terrier took a knee and gave his paw during the National Anthem.
GO PATS!
I’m sure it will be good game and BRady is the man but the whole over-hyped production  is a Super Bore overall.
Streaming music- not the end all music solution but one main advantage?
Spotify has very deep content. I’m like a kid in a candy store. I can try things I’d never have a chance to otherwise. Then if I like it enough I can buy and stream from my own music server. Records now only get played once and converted to digita...
The truth about why modern music is so awful.
The Beatles aren’t overrated. I sang many a Beatles song to my kids when little and they grew up with a great appreciation of all kinds of music. My world class vocal skills were NOT the reason. 🙃
The truth about why modern music is so awful.
So the burning question now for a true audiophile is obviously how accurately can your rig reproduce these modern recordings in question? At live-like volumes?
The truth about why modern music is so awful.
I'd try to not to be too negative and focus too much on modern abuses of digital technology and rather seek out the good.   Plenty of it!Unless pop music, the most mass produced kind,  is the only kind that floats one's boat....

Wow I might have to find a new and cheaper hobby.
It was 50 years ago today....
Harold-barrel,I am a huge long time fan of Procol Harum, Moody Blues, King Crimson, you name it late sixties early prog/art rock act, but you gotta realize non of that may have ever happened when it did without the Beatles blazing the trail for ne...
Difference in sound between day and night. Help!
Is it actually dark/dim in your room at night and light during the day? If so could be at least part of it is you are less distracted and more focused on listening at night. Also could be you are less stressed/more relaxed when listening at night s...

50 years under the microscope, still selling records, and more fans than ever. The facts speak for themselves.
Best song for immediate impact when presenting or testing?
So many so cool in different ways but my latest is Harmonix by Surfer Blood. The guitar lead is clean yet piercing and grabs your attention right on through from the start .
High resolution digital is dead. The best DAC's killed it.
Agree. VEry good and affordable DACs have abounded now for several years. My digital sounds great, has now for years. High res is just a novelty for me. No need.  CDs get ripped and streamed, never played.
