Scottht: Have you come to a decision yet or are you still thinking it over?
When is digital going to get the soul of music?
jdaniel@jps.net,Thanks for answering my question with your post of 1/30/06.-Bill
Clever Little Clock - high-end audio insanity?
I think everyone may be being a little too hard on Elizabeth. While I cannot agree that the device is definitely "puffery", my inclination NOT to try the device, as I stated at length above, coincides with hers exactly. I don't think it's an unrea...
Speaker cables which bring out more bass?
Well, when I switched from Canare Star Quad 4S11 biwires to Audioparts Mas Hybrid Signature biwires, the midbass improvement was the biggest difference. FWIW, here's a link to my review of them:Mas Signature Speaker Cable ReviewIt should be pointe...
Review: B&W FPM 6 Monitor
"Ahh the werkes - speaking of which, you're question brings up an error in my review... I should have typed BWV - Bach Werke-Verzeichnis (German: catalogue of Back's works) instead of BVW (which actually is a common mistake even in many cases)."Um...
Clever Little Clock - high-end audio insanity?
Audioaril:Actually, I did not miss your last post, but I simply do NOT find the concept of "time travel" as mechanism of action for a high end audio tweak to be particularly convincing. The claims made, if true, would have profound implications fo...
Clever Little Clock - high-end audio insanity?
Audioaril said:"The company offers a 30-day in home trial......if the consumer believes the clock does not improve the sound of their system they can return it for a full refund."As a potential consumer, I'll always place the burden of proof of pr...
Clever Little Clock - high-end audio insanity?
Audioari1:An experiment has been done by Rcprince and he was kind enough to report the results in detail on a prior Audiogon thread about the clock. Here's a direct link:Listening Test of Machina Dynamica Clever Little Clock
Vienna acoustics Mozart: Who knows?
Je ne parle pas Francais, mais, je crois que Vienna Acoustics est tres bien.-Guillaume (I THINK that's how to spell "Bill" in French...)Footnote: As you can see, your English is WAY better than my French!
Clever Little Clock - high-end audio insanity?
I thought of that, but my childhood preceeded the advent of digital photography. Also, with digital photos, a print would not necessarily exist, unless it had been made from the computer. These are difficult issues to ponder.....
Clever Little Clock - high-end audio insanity?
"It is unfortunate that the vast majority of people, including many who work in science and technology, do not appreciate that a photograph functions within the quantum mechanical world."It's difficult to "picture" how such a functional relationsh...
Is my setup mid-fi or hi-fi?
"Totem Acoustic Mani-2 Signatures"===>>>Totem Mani-2 Signatures = HI-fi
Review: B&W FPM 6 Monitor
p.s. I should have mentioned it above, but at least can say it now: Very nice review, you really covered the "werkes". I listen to Bach organ fugues also. Have always wondered what BVW stood for, but never bothered to look it up. So, what DOES BVW...
Does having an object inbetween the speakers bad?
I have a HUGE, Guargantuan, massive, behemoth, wooden "entertainment center" between my speakers. It was present one day when I got home from work years ago and to this day I don't remember agreeing to its purchase.... Anyway, "it" was a big reaso...
Herbie's Grungebuster 2 CD Mat vs Marigo's 3-D Sig
Hmmmm, so far it sounds like thumbs up to both products. Tarsando and Rello: Thanks for the info. I haven't used either the Grungebuster 2 or the Signature Marigo Mat, but I have used both Shinola and Auric Illuminator 2. This topic is confusing t...
