Essential&Mosin, Is David 'the watchmaker' who used rubybearings for the Rabco and moded the armwand? In the 80isor even before? The Rabco was/is very popular in Hollandbut the aim by modifications was to make the arm lighter(aka MM carts). So...

Redglobe, I am curious myself. First about my first 'Chinese', second about the import duty (32% in Holland). Alas there is no member lookup anymore.Regards,

Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
Dear Lew, If your wife is not allowed to see your postintended for us you can make a copy of my 'reasoning' aboutthe 'jewels' and plastic. May I conclude that you also fancy the ruby 'jewel' more then 'plastic' sapphire?Regards,

Kennyman, The Chinese are not such a diligent workers aswe assume. They just came back to work from some strange Holyday whith 4 free days . I made an offer on their price (ebay.uk) and they made an counter offer ($421 + $75 postage). I asked for ...

Vidmantas uses sapphire bearing for his Reed tonearms whilesome other tonearm producer with an Italian name usesruby bearings. The only difference seems to be the colour. But to me ruby looks like jewel while sapphire looks like plastic.
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
This thread is about MM carts so no 'substitution' withother kinds is correct. BTW 'synonyms' are not about reference but about sense (Frege, about sense and reference).
