Do 45 rpm 12" LPs really sound better than 33 rpm?
"NUANCES" sound better at 45;  it boils down to how intense a listener you are;  that's my take but I'm looking forward to other responses.
Turntable /Cartridge hum
Rvpiano, I was rushed yesterday, and didn't have time to respond adequately. There are tweaks that will take the sound of your P3 to a whole higher level, I am going to list them, and you can do them as your time and budget will allow. If you can ...

I said if you don't have the motor, you might already have it.  The PSU and the motor solve some of the same problems, both might be overkill; you're probably good like you are.I'm glad you solved your problem; happy listening.

I don't think you have the "same" problem. Check leads coming off your cartridge, make sure they are secure.Check and see if you have this motor, if not, order and install.        http://www.rega.co.uk/24v-motor-upgrade-kit.htmlYou have a good co...
Digital, Low Mass, ClassD, Less expensive, Let it happen!
In regard to interconnects, way back when people discovered they mattered, I bought good shielded wire in bulk and made my own. This was wire that was used for TV stations, so you know it was the highest of quality. Word got around about my high ...

teo_audio said it all for me. I don't listen with my conscious mind, it's too easily deceived; I listen with my "subconscious inner mind" that hears into the depths of the music, it can discern which reproduction is the best.As an example; way ba...
Nature of the current used speaker market
Michael, I find your post very interesting; while the ages are true, I disagree about how that affects the market. The older a person gets, the less active he becomes; few live concerts, no trips to the museum or a host of other trips that were m...
Nature of the current used speaker market
The generation following me, is still living with me; not that I mind, but this is not what he intended.
Thoughts on VTA......
Raul, I'm looking at my stylus at eye level, with the diamond just sitting on the record, and it looks precisely like the drawing on this link.            https://www.tnt-audio.com/sorgenti/vta_e.htmlThis is with the Rega arm and table. If this i...
Nature of the current used speaker market
The lust for high end audio will never cease; when compared to "mid fi", it's no contest. On the used market, high end audio is well priced, but many people who are lusting for the equipment, just do not have the money, but the sellers are not go...
Speakers near fireplace
My fireplace is in the center of the wall and my speakers are 4 feet in front of that  wall. The center channel seems to emanate from the depths of the fireplace when the glass doors are pushed aside; I consider the fireplace an asset as opposed ...
Nature of the current used speaker market
"Middle Class is Gone"!This happened some time ago; when the commodity markets were being manipulated by the oligarchs, and your very own government. That's when food and gas was much higher than they should have been. Your government stopped the...
Questions to ask as I shop for a tonearm?
Here's some more information;    https://www.stereophile.com/category/tonearm-reviews?page=3
What is the most dramatic way of increasing a speaker's Bass and Low mid?
I'm going to have room treatments done, that will most certainly require professional measuring equipment, and someone who knows how to use it.
What is the most dramatic way of increasing a speaker's Bass and Low mid?
I'm an electronics technician who is very accustomed to working with all kinds of measuring tools, but the only thing that can measure "high end" audio is a pair of keen ears. The people who don't have them wouldn't understand that fact.
