The new Synergistic Research BLUE fuses ....
Ok, I've spent a lot of time over the past couple of days fiddling with fuses in the signal path in my tube amps.  The SR20 fuses not only sound a lot better than the inexpensive Schurters, but there is also a dramatic improvement in soundstage wh...
The new Synergistic Research BLUE fuses ....
I respectfully wish to report the following:This afternoon I replaced the inexpensive ceramic fuse in the signal path of each of my mono tube amps, with SR20 1A’s.After about an hour of play, I changed the directionality of those fuses and listene...
The new Synergistic Research BLUE fuses ....
A question for those who have extensive experience with fuses:  Am I correct in assuming that the primary or perhaps only place they would make an audible difference is in the signal path?  Thanks. Ps
The new Synergistic Research BLUE fuses ....
I am starting my fuse exploration with a modest investment in Schurter ceramic fast-blow. One pair for my mono tube amps, the other for Magnepan .7's.More later.
The new Synergistic Research BLUE fuses ....
OK- now I've grown interested and am considering purchasing some of these fuses.  Can any of you somehow quantify the improvement of the Blue over the Black?  IE: If the Black is a 7.5 with 10 being the best, where would the Blue be?  Or, put anot...
The new Synergistic Research BLUE fuses ....
From a non-technical, non-engineering, non-scientific, BUT, experiential perspective, I posit that a wee dram or two of decent, if not better, single malt, and/or a hit or two (ONLY where it's legal of course)  of some high-quality cannabis, will ...

Sonus Faber Liuto Monitor vs Cremona Auditor M
@no_regrets You are most welcome.  :)As you know, the only way to tell if a given speaker will work in your room is to try it.  There simply are too many variables.  Another obvious factor is the electronics you employ.  I'm fortunate to have exce...
Sonus Faber Liuto Monitor vs Cremona Auditor M
@no_regrets Yes, the room is the same. The A' M's are about 4' from the front wall and the best listening spot is roughly the old equilateral triangle.  Since the back wall of the listening room is mostly open to the living room, I sometimes will ...
Sonus Faber Liuto Monitor vs Cremona Auditor M
My MFA mono tube amps have been significantly upgraded. The Auditor M's are having a bit of a love affair with the "new" amps.  This designated listener is beyond quite happy.  :)

THIS! KEF LS50 Anniversary Model.  If you need more bass, add a pair of powered subs.  These KEF's are one of the world's great audiophile bargains- especially since they are so affordable.SJ. I hope that you somehow, someday are able to make the ...

One other think about ML's, if you buy used make sure they're from a non-smoking home.

ML’s ’stats can be great if you stay clear of the cheaper models. I’d look at a used pair of Montis. Stunning clarity and not at all strident, unless, of course, your source material is terrible. ML’s play nicely with tubes, too. To some persnicke...
