I'm Not Flexible
Nathanu, TG hasn't been around long enough for a website as just our 21st year in business :-) I have dealers who do all of that.......Best deal is to get yourself a Gen II HSR-I or HSR-A used and have it rebuilt into a 688 cord which is very clos...
Is a cable cooker worth it?
Sean, nice post......I just use a cheap 100wpc receiver and a couple of 8 ohm 225w load resistors to break in speaker wire for thirty days and nobody has complained yet.....The MOBIE uses a 10,000 ohm load and 15v 1K square wave and it works great...
Parasound Halo JC-1
Talk to Rick Reimer is the best bet rather than folks with little or no experience with the speakers you have.....The Tetons we used had Morel tweeters BTW....
Parasound Halo JC-1
I used the prototype to the JC-1s at the CES two years ago with the Wind River's bigger brother, the Tetons as showed with Rick Reimer.....We called the amp the CTC BBQ and it worked pretty well, but think we had a bit too much damping factor for ...
Is a cable cooker worth it?
I charge a favorite CD for burning in signal wires and can burn them in for 5 days or 30 days at your option....I've always got something burning in here so I just add them to the chain of speaker wire or interconnects....Not worth it to buy a bur...
Jena Labs
You might want to try the Empirical or TG Audio speaker wire as both have more warmth in the lower mids/upper bass than the Audience.....Audience, TG and Empirical were all reviewed by Bob Neill on Positive Feedback On-Line....Regarding Jena, she ...
What happened to Pure Silver Sound
Corona, what linearity problems does silver have?
FAST and NOT THIN sounding PC recommendation?
Sonic genius, I don't imagine there is much difference in voltage drop in the 12awg in the TG and the 11awg in the Sigma.....Nothing is perfect in all situations, but that is what we strive for, a universal cord.....
Is Lyra Helikon too analytical?
Funny, but I like my old Clavis DC better than the Helikon as it makes the walls suck in and out with dynamics.....I can't afford a Titan, but it is everything I would like in a cartridge....Jonathan Carr has hinted that he is working on something...
Do you really need ultra expensive cables?
Cables are a necessary evil and I see way too many people spending big bucks on cables that would be better spent on a better CDP or speakers....10% is a good round number for wires....
What do you use to burn in cables???
I named the MOBIE after one of my favorite bad movies, Maximum Overdrive....I called it the Maximum Overdrive Break In Engine or MOBIE and Tony used the name. I still have the prototype in the other room as I commissioned Tony to build it for me.....
What do you use to burn in cables???
Corona, miracles do happen sometimes and if you can overlook the shortcomings of the Valhalla they do some things that are just amazing.....Back to the subject I like the out of print MOBIE for interconnects and a couple 8 ohm 225w load resistors ...
Amp Choice for Acapella Campaniles
Brian, you missed my point in that the Campaniles need CURRENT, not voltage....Ultra pure doesn't cut it in the bass, current and damping factor does......Sorry, but I'll "settle" for a contemporary SS design for these monoliths of speakers which ...
Goldmund Studio-still one of the best?
Dollars and Euros are roughly comparable....I paid US$2,000 for a Studio Mk IV new in the box about 15 years ago. The arm, the T3F is a stinker so don't consider it....The T3B sounded a bunch better than the T3F, but both were problematic.....I wo...
Amp Choice for Acapella Campaniles
Brian, I sure don't agree as the Campaniles respond to the current a good SS amp can provide.....Fred changed over from tubes to SS months ago after a very long break-in period and hasn't looked back....
