Earlier Rogers Ls35a 15ohms sonic differences Vs Later serial# Roger's 15ohms?
My friend worked as a repair tech at a local hi fi store and examined the crossovers in some Rogers LS3/5A's. He noticed differences between early and later ones. Sonically I heard NO difference!
Who still listens to their First Generation Cd Players?
I listened in 1983 to the first CD player imported for sale here in the USA: a Hitachi vertical-loader. I was far from impressed! It was at a dealer's store in CT. In fact, I waited until 1992 before buying my first player - a Technics Bitstream. ...

Cable recommendations for Exposure 2010S2 ?
I have two of the Aristons - a pre-Linn version and a later S - great TT's - equal to the Sondeks! You already have a fine system! I'd leave it alone and just enjoy listening to favorite recordings! IMO there is no need to be neurotic about wire. ...
Klipsch Heresy Speakers Circa 1976 ...Type HDBR
No! If they sound good to you leave them alone! I have a pair just like yours (raw birch) - and they sound just fine! I bought mine for use with my SET 45 and 2A3 amps. With 100db sensitivity the Heresy is a good match for low power amps.
Directional?
"Directionality and Burn-in" Let me put on my Tin Foil hat and think about it!

Infinity 2000A's with RTR electrostatic tweeters! I have a pair bought from the original owner - a California college professor. Nice!
Your Side by Side Experience With Best Vintage vs Newer Expensive Hi Tech Speakers
Quad 57's still beat most new stuff. I am glad I have two pairs (so I can experiment with stacking!).

AAA vs DDD...
All music recording starts as an analog process - sound waves into a microphone. It is best captured on analog tape and then transferred to a laquer disk via a cutting lathe. The final product being the lp. Very little is lost in the process. This...
Phono stage
For vintage tube preamps I can recommend the Bruce Moore designed Precision Fidelity C2 and C7. I owned the C7 at the same time as the PS Audio III and preferred the C7 (which is a phono stage only - with two pots for volume and a switch for 4 sou...
