45rpm pressing of Fleetwood Mac Rumours
No amount of adjustment can correct a poorly mastered album. This one(two LP, 45rpm version) sounds as though it were mixed, using a pair of Radio Shack Minimus 7's for monitors.

If you REALLY want to hear the Fleetwood Mac Rumours album, at it's BEST; find a copy of the Nautilus SuperDisc pressing. It's a shame that early 1980's technology sounds so much better than what's available today, and that Nautilus is not still i...
IC's amp-preamp & cd-preamp using Maggies?
Work your way up the Synergistic Research, or Kimber lineup. I've got some of each(Synergistic's Analog Tricon, Tesla Apex, and various PCs/Kimber's KS-1130s and KS-1030s) in my bi-amped(Maggie mains) system. My goals have always been the same as ...

Simaudio 110LP vs PS Audio GCPH, others under $600
Manitunc- If you want a real treat, replace your GCPH's fuse with a HI-FI Tuning 2A slo-blo, Supreme 5mm X 20mm. I opened mine to determine what FREDs to order for it. Found it already had UF5404's(50nS recovery rate), so I just changed the fuse. ...
What Song Reminds You of Your First Love?

The albums that I have purchased(three to date), that Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray have had their hands on, have been a MAJOR disappointment. I'll never buy another production of theirs. The pressing and vinyl quality were excellent. It's the mix ...

The LEDR test mentioned in this article( http://www.stereophile.com/features/772/ ) basically DOES what (out to)Launche requires of a referenced sound stage. If your system resolves what the test's parameters describe; it will also resolve whateve...
