Now from what I understand, this happens at the end of the record. Correct?
Would you pay to rent my media/video room
Raguirre, when were you in Korea? Just curious, I was there in 78 till end of 79. WILD times man.
$ 1,000 A/V receiever recomendations...
I wouldn't do it. I would look around here or VG and find a used 5 channel amp and a cheap processor to hold you over until you can afford a better processor. Why tie yourself in to a receiver? It just doesn't make sense.

Stripper pole and I am there. Otherwise, join the crowd. It just won't work. I had a HT consultation and installation buisness for about 2 years. First thing is this. We are far and few between. I expected everyone would share my enthusiasm for hi...
How many of you guys use a HT processor ?
I used to have a combination HT/Listening room. Before I seperated everything. I used a Lexicon processor for both. I thought it sounded great. It worked well for me for some time. Like 2 or 3 years. Then I discovered the sound of tubes. I built a...

Toyota Camry to Honda Accord? Nothing could be farther from the truth. I just got the Vpi today and this thing is a beast. Maybe from a Camry to a Hummer! The MMF and Vpi are not even in the same league. How could you possibly make that comparison...
best interconnect under $100 for my system????
Dicovery NOS $80
Discovery cables....
I have my entire system using the Discovery NOS, I guess it is the original wire that helped Joe get to where he is today. My system is pure class B. Not quite up to A yet. I have tried Stealth, Kimber, Alpha Core. AudioQuest.etc.etc.etc. The NOS ...
Whatever happened to HDCD?
I don't think that SACD will catch on. Don't hold me to it, But I just don't. The average Joe Shmo isn't buying into SACD. The audiophile already has a hi-rez format ( LP)No need for SACD. I just don't believe there is a market for it. DVD-audio, ...
Best redbook player under $5oo
Cal CL-15Right around $500 used. You can't beat it. Neither can any of the others listed. For this kind of money, depending on the rest of your system. You are as close to Hi-Fi as you can get. I use one in my system. I know it is the weakest link...
New York-UPSTATE
Okay, I seemed to have missed where. Are we going to meet somewhere in the middle? I am south of Syracuse, I certainly don't want to drive to Buffalo:-)
Do You Remember Your First CD Player?
Magnavox, My wife bought it for me for Christmas. I shook the box to try and guess what it was. Well that cracked the lazer lens and it never worked right. I still have it. I was too embarased to tell her I broke it. That was 1988 I believe.

Aisip, I dont think it is like that at all. I have much more choices when it comes to upgrading the Vpi. The MMF7 isn't able to upgrade. The project arm on the MMF7 has no mass for a heavier cartidge. I just seemed to be stuck with the stock table...

Tone arm is the AudioQuest PT-6It is the Vpi that was listed here.
Did I damage my cartridge?
It seems that when I pushed the cantilever down in the goop. It built up on the top. A good quick cleaning solved the problem. Now I know beeter and have just let the weight of the tonearm settle onto the goop, and everything works fine.
