Cables for Paradigm ref. 100's?
Aball, i can imagine that the MIT's produced a LOT more bass with a fuller tonal balance than the Kimber PBJ's. After all, the PBJ's are interconnects and might be a bit "lean sounding" as speaker cables. OOPS : ) Did you mean Kimber 4PR ? Sean>
I wanna hear some "audio" jokes...and
Audioak, now THAT was a good one and i can relate : ) I think that bass players tend to party the hardest as they get far less recognition than the singer, guitarist(s) and the drummer. Maybe that's why i don't remember much from the age of about ...
I wanna hear some "audio" jokes...and
Driver: Most of the bands that i've worked with have been at their request. As such, they've come to trust my judgment and don't give me a hassle as they know i'm only there to do my job and make them sound the best that i can. However, there have...
I wanna hear some "audio" jokes...and
Tim, i can relate to your comments about guitar players and volume. Having done professional sound reinforcement, the only guys that i had to battle with about on-stage volume levels were the lead guitar players. If you told them that they were to...
Are Nordost really the Rolls Royce of cables?
My limited experience with Nordost speaker cables echo the experiences of Philjolet. To make that clear, I've never tried their interconnects. Their speaker cables came across as being fast and lean sounding but lack liquidity and warmth in the sy...
Where's My Bass?
Should i or shouldn't i ??? Let me put on my dancing shoes rather than my "stomping boots" : )Please keep in mind that these are strictly my opinions and worth slightly less than what you paid for them. The MSB DAC's are somewhat leaner and brighte...

Now THERE'S a "can of worms" : ) Sean>
Stereolink rules
I have a question for you folks that have "audio systems" built into your computers: What do you use for speakers ? Sean>
Is it worth it to buy the Cable Cooker?
Thanks for the kind words guys. I do what i can, when i can. What i have found is that if one shares honest opinions with any group of people, you are bound to step on someone's toes sooner or later. As such, i can see why some reviewers try to "s...
Is it worth it to buy the Cable Cooker?
Obviously, Paul has a problem with me / my comments but is not willing to share what those problems are. At least not publicly. All i can say is that my email is always open to those that want to reach me, good or bad. Sean>
Speakers for Rock
Whknopp0713: I agree that Heresy's ( or any other Klipsch / most horn speakers ) in stock form can be quite aggressive sounding. That is why i said "with some simple mods". You might be amazed at what changing the internal wiring and thoroughly da...
Do I need more power?
Blkadr, thanks for throwing that bit of info into the fire. I was not aware of that aspect of their system and that might come into play. Since he has a "Magnum", which is supposed to be one of their "premium" models, i would assume that it should...
Volume Control?
Well James, at over four times the price, i would hope so : ) Sean>
Is it worth it to buy the Cable Cooker?
Paul, I did go and check out the "snake oil" section of the website that you mentioned. The owner of this shop seems quite level-headed and respectable.Quite honestly, i was a HARDCORE skeptic about some of the "tweaks" that i take for granted now...
Is it worth it to buy the Cable Cooker?
Paulwp states: "Every product or tweak mentioned in this forum has its advocates. How should one decide to give any weight to one point of view or another?"I would suggest simply reading responses from those that post / respond on a regular basis....
