Anyone experience/have info re. Arcam FMJ AVR 600?
If you'll notice at the end of his review, he mentions that it is very important to evaluate this receiver after adequate break-in and with only a top-notch power cord. He states that the stock power cord is awful sounding.

Gandme, Joseph does great work on his tuner upgrades. He is the Master in this regard. He completely transformed my Harman/Kardon Citation 18 tuner. I look forward to your impressions of both the tuner and the preamp.

Check out this lengthy, in-depth review from J. Peter Moncrieff. He claims it to be better than anything out there, including the most expensive separates. http://iar-80.com/page161.html

I'm curious if this "harmonic alignment" is something done to the power supply regarding AC filtration or to the actual signal in the circuitry.

Mark, I look forward to hearing your impressions after the upgrade. I am particularly interested at this time in the Vishay resistors. How many, what locations, and cost. I wish Joseph would upgrade his web site for current upgrades.

Markwattkiss, Did you ever talk with Joseph or Victor about lowering the gain on the preamp? I noticed that on their web site specs, the 2.1 comes standard with 20db gain, but 10db gain with "B" upgrade.
VAC's Phi Alpha 160 mono amp
Vac and Reference 3a is a great combination. I'm currently driving the Dulcet mini-monitors with the now-discontinued VAC Auricle Musiblocs. They put out 75W per channel. The new Phi Alpha 160 has even more power and should have adequate reserve t...

Volleyguy, The President of Reference 3a has already told me that the Mundorf Supreme Silver/gold oil is superior to the aluminum/paper in oil type in there now. The two Duelunds are better yet still. I have already committed to the Duelund VSF fo...

Qsg is a great contact enhancer, but it is of no use on soldered connections. Reference 3a is famous for their "minimal" approach to crossovers. My Dulcet mini-monitors have no cap at all on the mid/woofer. It is direct-coupled to the amp. I'm n...
Capacitor log Mundorf Silver in Oil
I was informed recently from a key person at Reference 3a that their favorite caps for their speaker crossovers are in the following order: 1. Duelund Cast Copper oil 2. Duelund VSF copper 3. Mundorf Supreme Silver/gold oil I am in the process of...
What Integrated Amps have the sonics of Separates?
Audiosoul, If you tell us what speakers you have and the size of your room, that would be very helpful in further recommendations of an integrated amp. Until then...
